The problem is all good paying jobs today rely on some form of screen technology. You can't simply be a blacksmith and teach your child to be an apprentice. But WHY? They are apprentices of the technology that runs the economy. Now it would be nice if somebody could run an Apple Pie business from their kitchen, but that is against government Rules, and for what reason? Because a home kitchen is not considered "safe."
Basically you have to go naked survivor to be without technology.
Glad I found this, i recently underwent 1 week without modern technologies for a school project. By only my third day in a suffered withdrawal symptoms and panic attacks. It also gave me some valuable experience about how much time we actually waste online. definitely recommend everybody take some time away, it is really rejuvenating once you pass the 'So fucking bored' stage
Hmm. But then again even a bicycle is a feat of technology. Engineering and metal alloy manufacturing and so on.
